Seneca Technologies  is seeking a Sr. System Administrator in Washington, DC area. The objective of this work is to support a pending contract providing highly skilled information technology (IT) support services under a wide variety of technical disciplines for the United States of America, National Park Service (NPS). Tasks include User Support Help Desk, NPS Data Center Management Support, Telecommunications Support, Cybersecurity and Privacy Compliance and Project Management.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Basic Qualifications:

• Associate degree
  • Certificate from technical training institute or combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of 7 years of related technical experience in supporting the Information Technology environment at the server/data center level.
• Support may include (but not limited to): backup and recovery of Data Operations Center (DOC), systems, patching of systems, providing Tier II/III support to lower tiers, performance tuning, hardware and software upgrades, operational configurations, resource optimization, etc.
• Ability to support Microsoft and Linux Operating systems. Knowledge of other Microsoft Products used to manage an enterprise operation. Knowledge of VMWare.
• Experience in industry standard data center physical security tools and applications. Knowledge of DCIM and tools used.
• Basic knowledge of Visual Basic, .NET, C#, PowerShell and other programming/scripting languages.
• Ability to develop project management documentation.
• Has excellent interdepartmental communication skill (written, verbal, presentations). Ability to work without guidance and the ability to resolve highly complex problems.
• Ability to lead projects.
• Serves as SME for a Shared services Enterprise Datacenter information technology projects
