We are currently seeking a Sr. Systems Administrator to join our team in Atlanta, Georgia (US-GA), United States (US).
Duties/Tasks:
- Manage a VMWare-hosted virtual environment
- Creation and management of virtual machines, installing VMWare tools, creating templates, cloning, deploying virtual machines from a template
- Create, manage, and troubleshoot virtual guest servers, manage snapshots
- Monitor the virtual environment and tune for performance as needed
- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and secure all ESXi hosts and vCenter systems along with the attached SAN storage
- Patching Red Hat servers with Satellite and Windows servers with WSUS desired
- Use Satellite to configure and utilize OpenSCAP, Ansible, and remote jobs
- Manage firewall on the Red Hat and Windows servers
- Manage Dell PowerEdge servers, update BIOS and firmware
- Extend virtual disks on VM server and extend onto Linux Server
- Manage SSL certificates on all servers
- Manage backup and storage, CIFS and NFS shares and mounts
- Write various IT reports and quickly gather concise information for ad hoc client requests
Required Skills:
- At least ten (10) years of experience administering enterprise-class business systems and web-enabled applications in Red Hat, Windows environments
- At least ten (10) years of experience administering VMware systems in a high availability environment
- At least five (5) years of experience administering server-client, web-based applications, and basic relational databases
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information science, management information systems, information technology or related field preferred.
- RHCSA, MCSE, VCA, CompTIA Security, or higher certifications are preferred.
