Sr. Systems Engineer

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Administer and configure Java based applications, JBoss Application Server, WebSphere MQ and Red Hat HTTPD server; Define and troubleshoot network connections; Assure availability scalability and security/compliance of hosted systems; determine system requirements and project priorities in consultation with internal resources; support end to end testing of hosted application; responsible for escalated product support issues where first line support fails to resolve problems in hosted systems on rotational basis. These duties will be performed through attention to detail and customer centric point of view, with a focus on automation/repeatability to fulfill such responsibilities. Use and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines is crucial for success in this role. This position requires frequent communication with internal teams on technical matters and business needs. The employee will be required to work rotating on call between the hours of 8AM and 8PM and some weekends.

Minimum Requirements Needed:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, or related technical field.
• 5+ years of installation, configuration and troubleshooting of middleware applications such as JBoss Application Server, WebSphere MQ, and other similar technologies.
• 5+ years installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining java-based applications.
• Experience with improving availability, resiliency, and business continuity as it relates to complex integrated and networked computing environments.
• Experience with CI / CD processes and tools such as Jenkins, Ansible and Terraform.
• Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-based application services.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with Ansible, Jenkins and Terraform for administration process automation.
• Experience with Azure services.
• Experience with ACI Universal Payments Platform.
