Sr. Systems Engineer
Job Description
Reporting to the Manager of Information Technology, you will be responsible for maintaining, managing, and improving our company's IT infrastructure. If you are a self-motivated team player with a passion for storage and data protection administration, we encourage you to apply for this position.
You Will:
- Install, configure, manage and maintain IT Infrastructure (VMware, Windows, Linux, Azure, etc.).
- Install, configure, manage, and maintain various storage platforms including NetApp and Hitachi.
- Install, configure, manage, and maintain data protection tools including Cohesity and Zerto.
- Work to modernize infrastructure management through automation with Ansible.
- Collaborate with other infrastructure teams to implement changes and resolve issues.
- Ensure data security and comply with data privacy regulations.
- Create and maintain documentation of storage and data protection architecture, procedures, and policies.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans.
You Have:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 7+ years of experience as a Storage or Systems Administrator.
- Proficiency in storage administration, preferably on Hitachi and/or NetApp. Including installation, configuration, troubleshooting, performance tuning, and backup and recovery.
- Proficiency in data protection, preferably with Cohesity and/or Zerto. Including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Well-rounded infrastructure experience, including VMware, Windows, Linux with a focus and interest in storage and data protection.
- Knowledge of security and compliance.
- Familiarity with other infrastructure technologies, including VMware, Windows, Linux and Azure.
- Experience in automation, preferably with Ansible
- Experience in DR planning
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
