Sr. Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Systems Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing Windows environments, Microsoft Office 365 (MSO365) applications, and network infrastructure. The Systems Administrator will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of our organization's IT systems.

Key Responsibilities:

•                         Windows Systems Management:
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers and workstations.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance.
• Implement security measures to safeguard systems and data.
• Apply patches, updates, and software installations as required.
•                         Microsoft Office 365 Administration (MSO365):
• Manage user accounts, licenses, and permissions within MSO365.
• Set up and configure MSO365 applications including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, and OneDrive.
• Troubleshoot and resolve MSO365-related issues.
• Monitor and maintain email and collaboration services.
•                         Networking:
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Implement network security measures, including firewall rules, intrusion detection, and access controls.
• Monitor network performance and address connectivity issues.
• Configure and manage Virtual LANs (VLANs) for segmentation and security.
•                         Backup and Disaster Recovery:
• Develop and implement backup strategies for critical systems and data.
• Test and verify backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Plan and execute disaster recovery scenarios to minimize downtime.
•                         User Support and Training:
• Provide technical support to end-users, both remotely and in person.
• Assist users with hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
• Develop and deliver training materials for new technologies and applications.
•                         Documentation and Reporting:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation for systems, configurations, and processes.
• Generate reports on system performance, security vulnerabilities, and other relevant metrics.
•                         Collaboration and Communication:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support IT solutions.
• Communicate effectively with team members, management, and end-users.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Proven experience as a Systems Administrator in Windows environments.
• Strong expertise in Microsoft Office 365 administration.
• Knowledge of network protocols, infrastructure, and security best practices.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and other Windows administration tools.
• Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V) is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA, MCSE, CompTIA Network+, or CCNA are preferred.
