Sr. Systems Test Engineer

This position is part of our Advanced Safety & User Experience segment in Troy, MI.

Summary:

Join APTIV's talented core team of ADAS Systems Test Engineers. We create innovative automated test solutions to drive end-to-end automation, continuous integration and testing into our software release executions for speed, efficiency, and thorough test coverage. We use data analysis tools such as Python, MATLAB/Simulink and Vector CANoe to verify that the system is adjusting and reacting to prevent accidents and save lives.

Responsibilities:

• Guide and Lead Global Technical Leaders and PO's in prioritizing activities for their sprint planning.
• Discuss SW release plans with program teams and negotiate timing and content of delivery with Program Management Team.
• Work in an Agile environment and plan sprints and test executions
• Develop virtual world scenarios for L2 - L3 active safety production projects
• Work closely with systems and software engineering teams
• Use NI-TestStand, NI-LabVIEW, Vector CANoe, CAPL, Vector vTESTstudio and IPG CarMaker to design, code, and test real-time embedded systems
• Plan and coordinate development and test activities with other global sites

Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):

• Bachelor's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
• 5+ years of experience with embedded software development, systems or test engineering
• Python/C/C++ programming skills
• Proficient with ASPICE and Agile
• Vector CANoe, CAPL, Matlab

Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):

• Master's degree in engineering discipline (electrical, systems, computer science, software, computer or related field of study)
• 5+ years of experience with embedded software development, systems or test engineering
• Experience with Autonomous Driving Active Safety
• Experience with Matlab, Python, NI and Vector tools
• Experience with automation development and data processing
• Experience with debugging SW on Renesas/Infineon/Freescale 16/32 bit microcontrollers
• Experience with vehicle protocols - CANFD, LIN, Flex Ray, Ethernet, SPI, I2C
• Proficient with Automotive SPICE
