Job Summary:
As the Sr. Tax Analyst, you will primarily be responsible for supervising the data flow to the third-party tax preparers currently utilized by the Chamberlain Tax Group. Specifically, you will be responsible for providing the monthly, quarterly, and annual data to the external consultants preparing the sales tax, franchise tax, and income tax filings of the Company.
You will be expected to work across functions of the organization to gather information needed to prepare the proper tax reporting forms as required. In this role, you will also be the preparer of internal documentation to support tax positions reported on various tax returns as requested by the Senior Director, Tax. You will be the initial reviewer of the tax returns and schedules prepared by the third-party tax preparers and will assist with the preparation of the quarterly and annual income tax provision reported in the US GAAP financial statements. You will compile and prepare documentation needed for US, state, local, international and financial statement audits and will supervise special projects as assigned by the Senior Director, Tax.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum 3 years of experience Federal and multistate income tax compliance, tax accounting, and tax research in a CPA firm or a corporate tax environment
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Intermediate understanding of tax laws and regulations
- Drafting responses to tax notices and audit requests
- Experience using MS Excel to support tax return positions
- A strong team player and able to work independently to get work completed
Additional Qualifications (Preferred):
- CPA
- Experience with partnership tax laws
- Experience with transfer pricing rules and regulations
- Experience with telecom reporting
- SAP and Business Intelligence
- Vertex
- Avalara
- Knowledge of tax technology, including proficiency in online research and tax compliance software
Additional Job Details:
- Supervise the data flow and provide the initial review of the federal, state, local & international tax returns prepared by third-party tax preparers
- Research and draft responses for tax inquiries
- Supervise, maintain, and update the comprehensive tax calendar and filing footprint obligations
- Provide support for various tax projects including tax research, tax modeling, fixed asset accounting and other miscellaneous federal and state tax projects
- Assist with quarterly and annual tax provision, including uncertain tax position analysis and deferred accounts roll-forward
- Analyze and reconcile income tax general ledger accounts, including timely processing of payments
- Perform tax research and analysis
- Completion of special tax and accounting projects, as necessary
- Streamline procedures and offer recommendations on how to improve the efficiency of tax processes
