Position Summary:

We are looking for a Sr. Technical Product Manager focused on helping our platform productivity team to deliver our League Platform vision and Developer Program. More specifically, we need someone who will wake up every morning thinking about how to build the best possible platform for developers that are building on League (including developers at League). Strategic, outcome focused and energetic by nature, you will help deliver intuitive tools and technology to enable developers to build innovative applications powered by League - with a direct focus on supporting our mobile, web, releases and documentation teams, projects and efforts. You will be working with our dedicated platform and capabilities engineering team while also having the opportunity to significantly influence our developer program design and standards across the entire company. And finally, your ability to build strong customer relationships will be critical so we can validate that our solutions are solving the right problems.

In this role you will:

  • Work with product leadership to build a strategy and create a roadmap for platform initiatives, as they relate to our mobile, web and developer program projects (think releases and associated documentation strategies as well)
  • Create buy-in for the product strategy with stakeholders
  • Partner across product teams to ensure successful implementation and lifecycle of platform level features
  • Deeply understand our platform and speak to the technical implementation in a way that internal stakeholders and customers can understand, ensure the development team is set up for successful delivery
  • Successfully manage the full product life-cycle for the platform/SDK/API products from research, discovery, and design through development, launch, and iterations in the context of mobile and web platform, associated releases, and documentation
  • Ensure product vision and requirements are designed with scalability and long-term vision in mind
  • Work closely with internal and external product and partner teams (our solutions team in particular) to ensure alignment on goals/scope, plan critical path and operational risks, tight coupling with customer pipeline, and ensure transparent communication
  • Drive coordination with other business units, product teams, engineering and other applicable groups to ensure flawless execution
  • Represent our platform and infrastructure externally with clients and prospects
  • Partner with product marketing to develop go-to-market strategies and content
  • Communicating and coordinating progress, and open issues across the company

About you:

  • Ideally 6+ years of platform-oriented product management experience shipping products in a dynamic and fast-paced, cross-functional environment
  • Strong product development skills with a sound understanding of platform frontend, API/SDK technologies and other mobile and web  ecosystem requirements
  • Comfortable with modern technology and development practices
  • Proven ability to deliver platform products  from inception to delivery
  • Experience working on developer-focused programs and services and aptitude to collaborate with engineering teams to build robust, reliable and scalable platform, SDK and API solutions
  • Ability to quickly learn and gain proficiency in areas with limited experience
  • Ability to think creatively to solve problems
  • You have experience in working in scrum teams in an agile environment, leading agile release planning in terms of iterative, incremental & value-driven delivery and tightening every feedback loop regarding the product (e.g. release often, release early, talk to customers, Minimal Marketable Product, etc.)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and business acumen preferred
