Our product & technical marketing teams own the messaging, positioning, and technical differentiation - interfacing with the field and customers, understanding market needs, messaging our technology differentiators, and understanding the market landscape. 

As a Technical Product Marketing Manager, you’re a tech enthusiast with a passion for reinforcing the technical value proposition with customers, building supporting product demos and content, and understanding the product & competitive landscape. You will own and manage technical marketing initiatives, such as those above, working closely with other members of product marketing, sales, sales engineering, product management, and engineering. You will be encouraged and empowered to look for new ways and solutions to respond to and address our customer needs creatively. 

As a key voice of the customer, you will work with Product Management & Marketing to constantly assess the product-problem fit, ensuring that what was built, shipped, and sold exceeds our customer's expectations. The technical marketing manager will also play a large role in competitive intelligence, research, and the generation of competitive insights and training for direct and channel salesforce.

What you’ll impact: 

  • Technical content & evangelism: You will be the technical subject matter expert on the Instabase product and leverage this knowledge to build scalable technical product presentations, white papers, product guides, product videos, technical briefs, and other tools to sell to our technical personas and evangelize this as a thought leader 
  • Translate detailed and complex technical concepts into clear and compelling narratives for prospects and customers, working closely with marketing, product, and engineering
  • Product positioning & strategy: You will connect automation and technology trends with Instabase technology to build technical product positioning and messages for key use cases and be a bridge between customers and internal product strategy 
  • Product expert to customers: You will evangelize and demonstrate Instabase products externally, to prospects, and customers—in meetings, webinars, and anywhere else required. You will serve as a thought expert with customers to speak about Instabase differentiators, use cases, and technology.  
  • Competitive: You will be an expert on the market landscape and competitive features and differentiators and conduct in-depth technical competitive research and analysis to create competitive content for the field 
  • Represent the voice of the customer and provide customer and market insights to Sales, Customer Success, Product Management, and Marketing teams
  • Company builder: As a key member of the marketing team, you’ll be deeply involved in company and team building and strategy 

About You: 

  • Experienced Product Marketer, with a prior technical background in either solution engineering, product management, software engineering, or other related customer-facing technical marketing
  • A proven track record of building and delivering product demos, technical briefs, white papers, and other technical content. 
  • Superior storytelling skills with an ability to translate technical concepts into simple, intuitive, and concise communication that pinpoints value and differentiators for customers and prospects.
  • Passion & technical comfort with getting deep into cloud products, automation platforms, and other B2B technologies (especially AI, machine learning, and deep learning)
  • Experience working with large enterprise customers (i.e., insurance, financial services, healthcare, logistics, etc.)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple simultaneous projects with multiple stakeholders in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self-motivated and able to take the initiative without needing a high level of supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and adapt your style to rapid organizational and platform change.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time to customer sites and events
