Sr. Technical Product Owner - Software Solutions

Description

As Sr. Technical Product Owner, you will be a key member of the Software Solutions team supporting InVue's mission, which is to improve security, operations, and experiences for the world's most valuable brands in the retail and critical infrastructure market segments.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on working experience with IoT software technologies and architecture, project/program management, and agile methodologies to drive the software development team in executing the product strategy, vision, and roadmap.

Reporting to the VP of Software Solutions, you will be responsible to drive the development of IoT Systems and SaaS as well as representing the customer and their requirements internally. You will empower innovation, drive software development excellence, and shape customer-centric solutions by understanding customer requirements, defining core technical specifications for new features and functionality, enabling technology decisions, and driving the development high-quality software solutions that meet or exceed customer expectations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Empower innovation by continually seeking ways to enhance our software products and services while inspiring productivity and efficiency within development team.
• Drive development excellence by keeping a high bar for product quality, functionality, and user experience. Execute product vision and guide teams in delivering software solutions that stand out in the market.
• Shape customer-centric solutions by working tirelessly to understand their needs, pain points, and aspirations. Collaborate with product marketing to translate customer insights into tangible, value-driven features that make a difference.
• Work with externally focused product managers to gather and understand marketing requirements (MRD) and voice of the customer (VoC).
• Translate customer and business needs into actionable product requirements (PRD).
• Capture what a user does, needs to do, and wish to do that enables business value.
• Understand, articulate, and own the product vision and requirements.
• Own the definition and prioritization in Jira of product backlog.
• Represent the customer and their requirements internally by writing detailed epics, features, user stories, and tasks in Jira.
• Answer the development team's customer-oriented questions.
• Collaborate with the development team to prioritize features and ensure that product feature/functionality meet customer needs.
• Provide product marketing with appropriate information on roadmap development.
• Stay up to date on the latest IoT technologies and mentor and train junior engineers.
• Understand market dynamics, voice of customer, competitive product offerings, and bring product improvement and new product recommendations into discussion.
• Engage with tech-support to prioritize and timely address key issues/concerns.
• Work with product management to create and execute a customer-centric roadmap.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience in technical product management role.
• 6+ years of SaaS agile product development experience (strategy, design, launch, execution, zero-to-one, scale, and sustaining).
• Bachelor's degree required; MBA is a plus.
• Demonstrated success driving adoption and retention for B2B SaaS products.
• Ability to travel upward of 30%, including global travel.
