About the Role:

As a Sr. Technical Program Manager focused on Re-platforming, you will coordinate across a team of architects, software engineers, product stakeholders, and data scientists to define and deliver the technical re-platforming effort at Taskrabbit. You will drive through ambiguity to plan and build roadmaps, risk/dependency trackers, status dashboards, and manage delivery timelines while creating the single source of truth for technical re-platforming effort at Taskrabbit.

What You’ll Work On: 
  • Own delivery of a large-scale, cross-functional technical re-platforming effort with a focus on breaking down monolithic software architecture into smaller services
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to create a long-term plan with quarterly milestones tied to business value to measure and track the delivery of the technical re-platforming program
  • Implement & own an agile scrum of scrums to plan and execute re-platforming initiatives that span multiple teams
  • Implement SDLC and quality best practices in the re-platforming development pipeline
  • Drive quarterly program increment planning for the technical re-platforming effort and align plans + dependencies across engineering, data, design, and product teams
  • Collaborate with a platform architect to gather and document platform requirements
  • Advise on value, effort, and risk-based tradeoff decisions to inform the sequencing of our re-platforming strategy
  • Generate and report program-level agile metrics
  • Report upward on project status and create self-service project status dashboards
Your Areas of Expertise:
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical program management skills directly working with software engineering teams 
  • Experience transitioning monolithic architecture into smaller services
  • Ability to create and report on roadmaps, project plans, gantt charts, technical requirement documentation, risk registers, etc
  • Ability to break down large complex technical projects into smaller, more manageable deliverables
  • Understanding of technical software architecture
  • Ability to communicate project plans and goals with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Experience working with Ruby-on-Rails is highly preferred
  • Comfortable with Github, JIRA, Confluence, CircleCI, Slack, & Google Workspace
Compensation & Benefits: 

At Taskrabbit, our approach to compensation is designed to be competitive, transparent and equitable. Our total compensation consists of base pay + bonus + benefits + perks.

The base pay range for this position is $94,000 - $131,000. This range is representative of base pay only, and does not include any other total cash compensation amounts, such as company bonus or benefits. Final offer amounts may vary from the amounts listed above, and will be determined by factors including, but not limited to, relevant experience, qualifications, geography, and level.
