Sr. Technical Recruiter

Introduction:

The Sr. Technical Recruiter drives recruitment through development and implementation of recruiting initiatives to attract qualified individuals from diverse candidate pools for positions across the organization. This role functions as a partner with hiring managers, business leaders, and HR business partners to understand workforce needs and develop/deliver robust and innovative recruitment solutions in response to dynamic business needs and hiring environments. The Sr. Technical Recruiter also develops, drives and advises the recruitment team members in the execution of the talent strategies for the business, ensuring recruitment delivery; expert stakeholder and candidate engagement; and driving positive change through innovation and value-added activities. They are also involved in number of projects focused on e.g. processes improvement, change management, inclusion & diversity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Administer staffing/ employment/recruitment program to include but not limited to working with hiring managers to document requirements of jobs openings as required to open requisitions, determining appropriate recruiting sources for advertising and posting positions and promoting company image to candidates and external service providers. Work with Compensation to identify appropriate job roles, grades, and hiring ranges for job openings. Document candidate evaluation and interview process. Negotiate and support hiring manager in developing new hire compensation packages within company guidelines. Escalation of HR issues as needed. May prepare letters of employment.
  • Hiring, training and performance management of junior team members. Support appropriate action to improve performance if necessary.
  • Understand the business environment and apply awareness of the operational goals and objectives in recruitment process. Support hiring & onboarding activities for mergers/transfers. Provide innovative, scalable solutions to drive hiring and ensure we are meeting key hiring objectives. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and participate in special HR projects and audits as assigned.
  • Work with agencies, recruiting contractors and/or website representatives to conduct
  • employment advertising campaigns.
  • Generate related reports and analyze recruitment conditions to determine if best practices are being implemented and yielding qualified candidates.
  • Support diversity initiatives and may maintain records for EEO and affirmative action reporting requirements. Stay in compliance with Local, State and Federal laws and regulations. Work on special HR Projects and audits as assigned.
  • Make recommendations to management as needed to accommodate changing trends. Participate in outside professional groups as a representative of Toshiba. Perform other related duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience increasingly responsible HR experience with a focus in recruitment/staffing. Experience within a tech organization or tech consulting role preferred

  • Proven experience advising a diverse group of business stakeholders to provide sound recruitment solutions
  • Demonstrated leadership, critical thinking, facilitation, negotiation, collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills with excellent coaching and influencing skills
  • Strong ability to multi task, prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge and understanding of federal, state and local legislation and regulatory requirements (Civil Rights Act, Title VII, ADA, FLSA, etc.) as it relates to recruitment Thorough understanding of talent acquisition practices, principles, and current trends.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to travel
