Sr. Technical Systems Administrator - Siemens

The Technical Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure both located within the Business Area Network and Internet based. This individual participates in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. This individual ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational values, enabling staff, Partners, and customers.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Mentor Graphics Capital Harness Administration and Implementation
• Mentor Graphics Capital integration with TeamCenter and NX
• Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) to Engineering for Capital, NX and TeamCenter
• Oversee the maintenance of servers in all capacities that include, but not limited to: configuring, installing new hardware/software, performing upgrades to existing servers & software, coordinating the introduction of additional servers and storage to the network, following security policies and procedures, and performing other technical duties as needed Maintain servers and storage for business area business applications.
• Provide business application support
• Maintain detailed inventory of Business Area automation
• Maintain documentation of network server configurations, application licensing agreements, and other third party software installed
• Maintain server and applications
• Document repair/maintenance and change requests through IS department ticketing system
• Pro-actively monitors the infrastructure including servers to prevent issues and to resolve issues as they happen
• Participate in testing of new software and hardware
• Good documentation and communication skills
• Build prototype systems for demo and testing

Must Have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in related discipline and typically 10 or more years of relevant experience;
  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience
  • Relevant work experience may substitute for required education.
• Experience administering Capital Applications including Capital Applications experience including Capital Logic, XC, Formboard, and Publisher
• Experience with setting up build-machines and software development support

Preferred:

• Experience working with VMWare AWS Virtual Server
• Experience working with Microsoft OS
• Experience configuring Master / Slave Server configurations (aka Primary / Secondary)
• Experience with Capital Auto Update
• Experience with xml file formatting
• Understanding of data bridging between Capital and NX
• Experience working with Postgres / Sql
• Experience coding with NetBeans / JAVA
• Experience / understanding of REST API
• Familiar with implementing new PLM systems, including designing new workflows within TeamCenter
• Strong knowledge of data integrity, data security, and long term data storage
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with other departments and external resources
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $120,552.10 - $165,759.14
Sierra Space offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
