Job DescriptionAs a Technical Training Instructor, you will create and deliver instructor-led and technology-based training for IAM and OEM technicians. You will develop training information based on the end user needs, Bosch specifications/expectations, utilizing various computer systems for development and delivery of the final product.
This role will require excellent communication skills to ensure the programs are within established budget and timing guidelines. In addition, you will interact with department management and support personnel for input, direction and resource acquisition. You will be expected to work on a variety of tasks and projects, often with minimal guidance.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop technical training content for IAM and OEM technicians:
- Automotive Technology
- Diesel Technology
- Advance Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
- Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Technology (such as Fuel Cell)
Deliver technical training to IAM and OEM technicians:
- Webcast (Live and Recorded)
- ELearning
- Seminar
- Classroom
Support the Bosch level two diesel help desk one week each month
Support industry and training events as needed
Support sales and product training as needed
Qualifications- 5+ years of experience developing technical training programs using traditional instructional design processes.
- 5+ years of delivering technical training content via classroom and technology platforms.
- Master ASE certification preferred.
- Knowledge of and ability to describe electronic and electrical fundamentals, mechanical procedures and modern automotive & diesel systems.
- Knowledge of automotive hybrid and electrical vehicles.
- Knowledge of Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS).
- Ability to set up and teach a classroom training courses for both technician and instructors (train the trainer).
- Ability to meet deadlines, assess performance within deadlines, utilize appropriate resources to ensure timely and accurate deliverables.
- Ability to read, comprehend, follow complicated verbal and written communication (i.e. Bosch communications, engineering draft material, electronic module design specifications and sub-system schematics).
- Ability to communicate written and verbal ideas in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to utilize problem resolution skills to handle related concerns.
- Bi-lingual Spanish is a plus.
- Knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word and MS Teams).
Travel from 1 to 3 weeks per month
