JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Technical Writer drives innovative ideas for content. This role researches our complex products, services, technology, and concepts to be documented and easily understood by a broad audience.

Core Responsibilities:

• Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
• Dig deep into our products to understand user workflows and processes, ensuring content is relevant, compelling, and actionable.
• Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure, and form documentation.
• Determine the clearest and most productive way to present information for greatest reader comprehension, selecting the appropriate mediums for the target audience, such as manuals, online videos and graphics. 
• Plan, write, and maintain core product documentation.
• Conduct internal staff training on core software capabilities.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to support software releases, preparing support documentation to coincide with the release.
• Provide 'thought leadership' in defining an operating framework for how content should be created, stored, disseminated, curated over time.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in communications or related field.
• Experience in technical writing with a focus on platforms, software, and workflow applications preferred. 
• Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective at managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excels in a fast-paced, agile team environment. 
• Problem solver, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
• Tech savvy, highly proficient in MS office. Experience with Google Analytics, Madcap Flare, TechSmith Camtasia and Snagit, and WalkMe helpful.
• Strong aptitude for learning.
• Insurance, securities compliance knowledge helpful but not required. 

· Travel required up to 10% of the time.

· Occasional lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds.

· Frequent repetitive hand and arm movements required to operate a computer.

· Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision (working on a computer, etc.).

· Frequent sitting and/or standing.
