This is a virtual/remote position considering candidates who reside within the United States, ideally located in the Eastern or Central time zones.

What you will do

  • Ensures cost efficient and market driven Total Rewards procedures and standards
  • Supports and maintains compensation objectives and programs in line with business strategy, as well as the global JCI TR practices
  • Supports and directs regional Human Resources Representatives in the application and usage of JCI compensation procedures and standards
  • Ensures that the JCI Total Rewards practices stay in line with the market and the global JCI compensation practices

How you will do it

  • Assist in the design, monitoring and improvement of short-term incentives plans
  • Oversee updates and tests of compensation plans related to HRIS programs and processes
  • Coordinate programming changes and reporting requirements to ensure that all changes to company salary structures, grades, employee minimum base rate and market adjustments are recorded
  • Conduct market analysis to grade positions, determine pay levels and prepare supporting documentation on validity of evaluations; as part of global grading team, track, and structure company positions to create consistent categories, summaries, and grades across all business units worldwide
  • Responsible for conducting Geographic Salary Structure for North America ensuring labor cost is priced fairly, within budget and company has an engaged workforce with healthy turnover
  • Provide analytical services on topics including internal and external equity, cost of labor, pay trends, linkage of merit results to performance, etc.
  • Develop and implement cost-efficient salary structures and merit budgets globally
  • Lead the development of performance increase/Merit increase guidelines globally
  • Help HR business Partners and Managers understand Company tool & methodology for performance pay planning
  • Support management training activities to build compensation skills in our management team
  • Supporting and testing of new tools, dashboards, and analytics for Compensation team.
  • Delivering analytical, survey or research results
  • Preparing statistics, reports, identifying trends and preparing summary of analysis to management as it relates to compensation.

What we look for

Required

  • Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Business Administration, Finance, Human Resources Management or related field
  • At least 3 years of experience with all facets of broad-based compensation, both domestic and international experience preferred
  • 3 years of experience as HR/Compensation Analyst or related occupation.
  • 3 years of experience with market compensation methodologies and strategies, as well as job evaluation methods (Point Factor or similar methods)
  • 3 years of experience in pay schedule development and maintenance.
  • Strong skills with Excel and other Microsoft Office tools
  • Knowledge of Human Resources principles, namely performance evaluation, payroll, and benefits
  • Strong project management skills
  • An ability to build partnerships with your compensation team members, HR and managers, even when they are located in other parts of the world
  • A solid attention to detail balanced with the ability to "see the bigger picture"
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Previous experience with large HR systems - WorkDay or PeopleSoft preferred
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
