About the Role:
The Senior Transition Manager will work within the Trace3 Integration and Migration Services team. This position requires extensive knowledge of IT transformations, integrations and migrations. To be effective the candidate should have a solid understanding of all technologies within Data Center environments. The role requires expertise in all phases of Project Management and possess strong critical and analytical thinking, highly effective written, presentation and oral communications skills, an independent, and a consultative approach to building business relationships. Successful candidates must demonstrate a hands-on project management style, capable of engaging in executive level and department level discussions through the organization, creation, and management of project plans, accountable for milestones and overall communications to stakeholders.
What You’ll Do:
- Translate strategies/policies into specific goals, tactics, action plans and deliverables
- Deliver on strategic alignment of this project to achieve overarching business objectives for the enterprise
- Facilitate collaboration between project sponsor, project team members, business, and clinical stakeholders
- Lead project planning activities for complex technical projects involving infrastructure, security and cloud services.
- Interface with architects, system engineers and support teams to ensure requirements are captured for each service area and specifications are met during planning, build-out and migration.
- Incorporate program management tools or approaches as appropriate to efficiently manage across projects.
- Lead multiple cross-functional teams to ensure delivery of a successful solution.
- Responsible for day-to-day project activities and all required project status reporting
- Deliver written and oral status reports to all levels of customer and internal staff.
- Proactively manage risks and dependencies across multiple projects/programs and resolve issues as they occur.
Qualifications & Interests:
- A minimum of eight years experience in leading technology projects (preference in infrastructure related project management experience, including proven expertise in data center migrations, consolidations and new site buildouts, and similar transition projects).
- A minimum of eight years of experience in a technical administrative or management role, with special consideration for ability in multiple technical areas.
- Must be able to work independently and demonstrate leadership in various situations
- Application of industry standard project management methodologies and processes.
- Ability to execute in a remote workforce environment; develop relationships and achieve desired outcomes with a remote workforce
- Experience with estimating level of effort time and skill requirements for complex tasks and activities.
- Ability to adapt to existing methods and procedures to create viable alternative solutions to moderately complex problems.
- Excellent communication skills (both written and oral).
- Strong people skills with the ability to collaborate simultaneously with multiple teams.
- Ability to develop hour by hour work plans and pre-cutover checklists.
- Ability to approach customer and sales requests with an initiative-taking and consultative manner; listen and understand user requests and needs and effectively deliver.
