Chase is looking for highly motivated Senior UX Designers to design useful, usable, and desirable products for internal Chase employees to execute customer communications. Internal tools should demonstrate the same care and craft as consumer software, designed with contemporary user- and human-centered practices.
You would work across the range of design practice, from up-front research, insights, and strategy, then to ideation, prototyping, and testing, and on to delivery of final designs. We are looking for someone who is comfortable leading a full design process, and who has a desire to continually broaden and improve their skills.
As a Senior UX Designer, you would be part of multi-disciplinary teams, including UX researchers and content designers, committed to designing the future of banking. Senior UX Designers are expected to be strong partners with Product Owners and Engineers, involved in prioritization, planning, and decisions along the way to execution.
Job Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with product, research and development teams to understand, clarify and document requirements to move initiatives forward, identifying the appropriate places to incorporate design thinking activities
  • Advocate for the design thinking process and represent the user's perspective when collaborating with cross-functional team on roadmaps, requirements and work structure
  • Design or redesign product experiences using best practices in UX design, interaction design, web accessibility and inclusive design
  • Diagram flows of service, product and feature experiences in a way that clearly depicts the user journey and design requirements for cross-functional partners
  • Determine success metrics with cross-functional team to measure success of UX initiatives
  • Collaborate with UX Research team to conduct basic research and participate in larger research initiatives
  • Contribute to design system as needed and maintain design standards and patterns for a product area

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Degree in relevant design discipline (e.g., Interaction Design, HCI, User Experience Design), certification from credible bootcamp or similar accelerated learning program, or equivalent work experience
  • Self-directed in planning and executing work to deliver high-quality results
  • Demonstrated experience with user-centered and human-centered design approaches and shipping digital products
  • Prior work involves collaboration within design teams (with other designers, UX researchers, and content designers) and cross-functionally with product managers and software engineers to ship digital products and experiences
  • Advanced skills in Interaction Design as well as either Visual/UI Design or Information Architecture
  • Intermediate ability in adjacent skills such as User Research, UX Writing, and Prototyping

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • Intermediate knowledge of Web accessibility guidelines and Inclusive Design Practices
  • Demonstrated experience leading Lean UX and other design thinking workshops and activities
