Sr. UX Designer (Remote)

What Will be Your Purpose:

As a Sr. UX Designer, you will manage design and standards for Connect of Connects, Design Center of Excellence, and GWOS Design System. You will lead user experience research and design including interaction design. Areas of focus may include user-centered research, usability testing, interaction design, visual design, user experience design to achieve a superior user experience. You will work with the other designers and researchers, management and multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that customer needs translate into effective user experiences. You are always curious about the reasons behind behavior and the wants, needs and priorities of people using our systems.

What You'll be Doing:

• Identify, plan and execute qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand our customers and their needs, identify design improvements, and discover new opportunities
• Create personas, scenarios, storyboards, conceptual models, journey and experience maps, service blueprints, and other artifacts to help drive design vision and strategy
• Design user-experiences starting from low-fidelity wireframes and driving to hi-fidelity pixel perfect mockups.
• Lead the effort to develop and enhance design standards and guidelines that set the enterprise design vision for internal applications
• Work collaboratively and diplomatically with other lead designers, IT leaders, and business partners
• Interpret high level product requirements/needs into workflows and intuitive user interfaces and prototypes.
• Uncover the unexpected insights that drive new experiences that helps stakeholders empathize with consumer needs and how they impact solutions.
• Prepare and deliver concise, creative and impactful research documents and reports to members of project teams and other stakeholders
• Synthesize and integrate research findings to tell the consumer story.
• Write concise and actionable research summaries to communicate research findings
• What is Required?
• Bachelor's degree or additional related equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of work experience related to UX research, UX design, interaction design, or human centered design
• Expertise in standard UX software.
• Experience with qualitative generative research, evaluative methodologies, and usability from concept formation through launch.
• Experience with designing interactive applications using ReactJS and NodeJS.

What is Preferred:

• A portfolio demonstrating user research experience best practices
• Experience in a large enterprise environment
• Experience defining and planning the approach and methodologies in context of project scope and timeline.
• Familiar with Google Material.UI and web components
• Familiar with a design system (topograpy, design patterns, etc.) for a web application
• Healthcare, Florida Blue or Guidewell Experience

General Physical Demands

Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.
