Sr. UX Designer (US Remote)

The central Trimble User Experience team is looking for a seasoned User Experience Designer to reimagine a global B2B platform that connects technologies to be shared, standardized and extended by a global community of developers and data experts. This platform will support work innovations across industries of agriculture, construction, transportation and geospatial data. This position will report to the Director of User Experience, Cloud Core, supporting the digital future of Trimble.

About The Position

In this exciting role you will be leading the User Experience effort to design the data, integrations and platform experience for Trimble in a complex B2B ecosystem.

This role will be working with a dynamic global team of product managers, developers and other UX Designers. Your user design contributions will help guide product strategy and new concept development as well as opportunities for enhancing existing products.

What You Will Be Asked To Do

• Leverage storytelling and personas to showcase the future of Trimble
• Facilitate concept ideation workshops, build prototypes and lead concept validation
• Create high level designs and refine those for delivery to development teams
• Support implementation of designs by development teams
• Organize and lead the collaboration with other designers
• Participate in UX Team meetings, and become a contributing part of the growing UX Community at Trimble
• Leverage an existing Design System, and contribute new patterns into this system
• Design work will be conducted in Figma, with strong collaboration from other stakeholders

Your Project Work Will Include

• Design workflows for multi device use across digital platforms
  
  • Support the re-design of a layout tool from a new set of design components
  • Workflow analysis and design
  • Collaborate with the development team to take the design vision from concept to completion
  • Usability testing, concept design
  • Create a collaborative process for you and the rest of the development team members

What We Are Looking For

• Demonstrated success leading User Experience efforts and launching beautiful, useful and usable eCommerce
• Experience with best practices for leveraging data and design best practices for the buyer journey from awareness through conversion
• Experience with workflow analysis and design for effective, efficient productivity products
• Solid background in human-centered design, and expertise with the user experience design process tools and best practices
• Experience with conducting research, working with new technologies, and leveraging data to inform design strategy & direction
• An innovative & strategic thinker who is skilled in interaction design, prototyping and comfortable working with new technologies
• Interest & curiosity for new & emerging technologies
• Always seeking to learn and has their pulse on the latest trends in consumer technology and behavior
• Needs to be willing to seek information from a diverse set of stakeholders
• Mobile design experience
• Strong design skills utilizing Figma, or a comparable design software with a keen interest in learning Figma
• From a soft skills and personality standpoint, this person is:
  
  • Empathetic to users and cares about their holistic experience
  • A strong, persuasive communicator
  • Collaborative in spirit, able to quickly learn about the requirements of a team and help to drive results for them (no egos)
• An undergraduate or masters degree in user experience design, human computer interaction, interaction design or similar

This Will Make You Stand Out From The Crowd

• Experience working for users in highly technical areas in IT and Development including: data, SQL, data analysis, APIs and integrations
• Strong facilitation, communication and relational skills
• Systems thinking mindset with the ability to pay attention to detail
• Experience working with vendor relationships
