Sr. Visual Designer

 As a  Senior Visual (UX) Designer within the WONGDOODY Experience Design team, you will work across multiple sectors (Financial Services, Life Sciences, Tech, Telco) to design and innovate digital experiences for major brands. 

The role requires a focused and thorough individual with prior success creating brilliant visual design. You will collaborate with the client and teams often comprised of product designers, developers, BA, product owners, and delivery managers on the client side.  

The Senior Visual Designer will be responsible for delivering sophisitacted interface design that meets product requirements with optimum quality, for creation and evolution of design systems and design assets and dev-ready specs (often in XD, Figma, or Sketch).  

Our Resource Management teams do our best to match talent expertise and interests to our client engagements. Due to the remote nature of this role, occasional travel to client sites or WONGDOODY studio locations may be needed.  

WHAT YOU'LL DO 

• Collaboratively design world class products and experiences 
• Drive brilliant interface and Brand Experience design 
• Oversee design audits  
• Work with your team and XD Engineering to create and evolve design systems 
• Knowledge of Accessibility requirements for the user interface and ability to design accordingly 
• Drive development of new components or incremental enhancement to existing design systems 
• Deliver design and components as dev-ready specs 
• Design and communicate effectively through visual design concepts, high fidelity wireframes, and prototypes to test and demonstrate visual component states and interaction patterns
• Inspire and motivate an energetic and collaborative team 
• Direct junior designers to execute designs 
• Support design strategists / directors 
• Pitch work to clients and partners 
• Partner with team members across time zones to ensure ways of working, quality and best practices adhere to WONGDOODY standards

WHAT YOU'VE GOT 

• 5+  years of professional experience within the Visual Experience Design discipline

• Dynamic portfolio of visual design experiences for global brands 
• multichannel deliverables including mobile, tablet and web 
• ex: digital products, connected experiences, or services 
• Ability to think at a high level about visual design strategy (not just 'how it should look' but how we should build') 
• Bias for action and tolerance to navigate a sometimes-ambiguous environment 
• Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills 
• Exceptional abilities to explain visual design rationale, to align and persuade stakeholders, and to drive conversation 
• Appreciation for other disciplines (such as business, technology, delivery, marketing, and content) needed to create a brilliant product  
• Proficiency across Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, InVision, Craft, Zeplin and Keynote 
• Ability to travel as client needs dictate – either to WD studios or client office locations  
• A sense of humor!
