As Sr. vRAN TechnicalProject Manager, you are responsible for preparing and managing the overall plan for the validation and acceptance of a 5G Wireless vRAN network. This will involve establishing and managing milestones as agreed upon with internal and customer organizations, establishing and documenting complex processes for successful execution, and providing weekly executive reports on the progress. You will be interfacing with business process owners across multiple disciplines within Samsung, the customers, and vendor groups. The primary focus of this project will be the implementation of a vRAN solution and associated cell sites in collaboration with a major wireless carrier.
Role and Responsibilities

Responsibilities: • Partner with internal and external customers to prepare an overall plan for lab verification, FOA, and performance verification for the acceptance of a new network.• Establish end-to-end milestones and work across teams to drive progress to meet the acceptance of a wireless network for the initial launch and ongoing network update targets.• Work with subject matter experts and leadership to establish processes required to meet both internal and customer requirements. This includes project implementation, preparation of project documentation, billing and other commercial processes, and close-out packages.• Translates and communicates complex processes between Samsung subject matter experts and the execution teams.• Captures requirements and contributes to the design of project management systems to effectively track and report on process execution• Works closely with various support organizations, logistics, and cross- functional teams to achieve successful deployment of product and services.• Documents and updates process documentation, including complex workflow diagrams

Skills and Experience: • Knowledge of vRAN technology is a must• Experience managing 5G RAN projects is a must• Minimum 12 years in program/project management related activities• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent professional experience• Previously management of a wireless infrastructure implementation project for a major operator• Experience with developing and implementing project management benchmark and best practices• Background in managing multiple projects and/or activities simultaneously• Experience working and coordinating activities from multiple groups • Direct Personnel Management experience • Experience in developing and managing outside vendors• Experience managing projects that involved inter-vendor operability (IOTs) and IODTs is a plus• Ability to manage very complex and technical programs• Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present, and explain complex process flows and work breakdown structures• Ability to coordinate other resources in a matrix environment across Sales, Engineering, and Deployment• PMP certification is a plus

Necessary Skills and attributes: • Ability to interact and present to all levels of management within customer organizations.• Customer driven with excellent relationship management skills.• The ability to plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects, and simultaneous performance objectives - very detailed, goal driven, and achievement oriented.• Work independently in determining one's personal work schedule to be productive and drive results.• Work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames.• Accept tasks and problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems.• Negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer directors, managers and staff with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations.• Make professional technical presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience.• Ability to achieve results within established time frames and requirements.• Ability to clearly communicate status and critical issues in a short and concise format.• Ability to work with and manage expectations from external and internal customers.• Develop accurate proposals and designs to meet customer needs.• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.• Exceptional skills in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.• Advanced skills in Visio and SharePoint.• Experience working with JIRA.
