Sr. Workplace Specialist

The Real Estate & Workplace Facilities Manager will lead Databricks' Mountain View Operations, with full facilities responsibilities for the MTV office. You will help develop strategies and implement tactical solutions to support Databricks' exponential growth across the region. You will help ensure office facilities programs and workplace AV/tech are maintained and functioning. Additionally, you will ensure our programs to support employee experience are smoothly run and maintained with the utmost level of operational excellence within the office environment.

This is an exciting opportunity to grow the Bay Area support team and manage important 3rd party relationships that will be the backbone of our growth. This region has over 1,000 employees across multiple locations with plans for high growth in the next 12 months. You may be required to travel to other Bay Area office locations. You will report to the Regional Real Estate and Workplace Manager.

The impact you will have:

• Guide all facilities and workplace operations to achieve an exceptional environment which manifests and deepens company culture in our workplaces
• Ensure a coverage model that supports day to day facilities requests are completed - work as a part of REW team to follow standards and key measures to ensure a consistent level of support
• Maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders (EA's, team leaders) and partner teams (HR, IT, Finance and property management) as well as external vendor services to ensure highest quality solutions
• Oversee regular office maintenance programs including - janitorial, AV, paint & carpet, HVAC, security & safety, etc.
• Accomplish back of house activities and maintain security processes
• Support space planning programs including moves, adds, and changes
• Increase standards of office cleanliness and repair and measure against defined service metrics
• Be an ambassador for REW by building our brand through excellent performance
• Provide support for internal events/training/hackdays and company happy hours
• Work on special projects as a part of the global REW team
• Partner with out IT department to enhance the AV and tech-experience in offices

What we look for:

• Minimum 1 year Facilities management experience with responsibility for operations and service delivery
• Minimum 1 year of back of house experience
• Comfortable to draft office communications
• Ability to manage multiple work streams and projects
• Customer focussed attitude - ensuring high-quality resolutions
• Financial and budget experience; including sourcing/procuring goods or services and following procurement best practices
