Job Description

Advantest Cloud Solutions (ACS) is a strategic business group within Advantest Corporation focusing on building the infrastructure and applications to provide advanced insights in silicon design, development and manufacturing (with an emphasis on testing). ACS embraces a vision of Open Solutions ecosystem and enables customers, ecosystem software partners and research institutes to develop and deploy ML-driven analytics solutions on our real-time data platform.

ACS is looking for a passionate senior leader with a proven track record of building cloud based solutions (both using private and public cloud technologies). This leader will be responsible for the architecture, product strategy, and execution of our mission to deliver the infrastructure and applications for a data analytics platform - working closely with our product, business development and field teams to define success and win.

As a Sr. Director/Principal Engineer in Cloud DevOps Infrastructure, you will play a critical role creating the next generation of hybrid cloud storage and compute solutions for semiconductor industry. You will work with our customers, partners, and operational stakeholders to deliver roadmap features and lead the definition of new product capabilities.

Responsibilities

Candidate will be part of a team helping us create next generation of product with access management, SOTA application security practices, logging, monitoring, deployment, by optimally scaling edge devices with delivery pipeline, compute optimization handling hard-real time requirements.

• Manage the product development life cycle from strategic planning to architecture, including tactical execution
• Understand customers' business objectives and delivering solutions that align with those objectives
• Coach, mentor, and lead ACS solution development team
• Help create vision in hybrid cloud-based solution in ACS
• Set up the right processes and infrastructure to deliver products, scale engineering team, improve efficiency and maintain innovative culture
• Ensure ACS delivers with high quality product and predictability
• Partner closely with peer engineering teams to ensure we operate as a single team

Requirements

Requirements and skills

• Experience working with, or are familiar with the differences between, public, private, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Container technologies such as Docker.
• Deployment of continuous integration and continuous deployment technologies such as Jenkins, Puppet, or Chef.
• Experience maintaining production-grade applications in virtualized environments (cloud computing platforms and services).
• Scripting languages such as Bash, Groovy, Python, Powershell, and/or Scala.
• Effective communication and attention to detail.
• IT security practices or DevSecOps including encryption, certificates, key management, patch management, STIG, RMF, or security hardening, and auditing.
• Installation of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) technologies such as Amazon Web Services and OpenStack.
• Experience with Cloud environments (GCP, Azure or AWS)
• Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies such as Kubernetes, Rancher, or OpenShift.
• Cloud automation tooling such as Ansible, Terraform, Terragrunt, or Packer.
• Scalable networking technologies such as Firewalls and web standards (REST APIs, web security mechanisms).
