Site Reliability Engineer

Biofourmis looking for a Site Reliability Engineer to take our site reliability practices and culture to the next level. The Site Reliability Engineer will be part of team of Site Reliability Engineers who work closely with DevOps team and development teams to build observability, resiliency, and automation into everything they do.

Our ideal candidate has a deep understanding of modern site reliability practices, has a strong customer focus, and is an enthusiastic change agent. You know how to work in an agile SaaS development cycle. We work with low walls between teams and disciplines because we believe good ideas are everywhere and the best products come from teams who are working to a shared goal of building and operating performant, reliable, and scalable systems.

As a Site Reliability Engineer, your mission will be to ensure our services are fast, highly available, scalable, to support our growth and, more importantly, our customers. SRE team will provide monitoring of sites and respond to alerts in EST.

Requirements

• Enthusiasm to learn industry best practices in Cloud monitoring.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, ECS, EBS, ELB, S3, Route 53, RDS, ALB, in a highly available and scalable production environment
• SQL (MySQL, PostgreSQL) based databases
• Open source technologies (Kafka, Hadoop, HBase, Zookeeper, Oozie)
• Understanding of Networks (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, Load Balancing)
• Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Deployment automation tools such as Jenkins, Harness, AWS CloudFormation, Salt, or Puppet, Chef, Ansible
• Expertise with observability tools like ELK, Prometheus, Grafana etc
• The successful candidate will possess an outstanding record of professional experience and will thrive in an environment that demands accountability.
