We are looking for a Sr. Manager, Site Reliability Engineering. In this role you will be responsible for:
Establish and develop our SRE team in India to support our APAC customers as well as participate in our global 24x7 rotation.
Assist in establishing our Product Security and Customer-centeric Engineering teams in India providing local leadership and guidance.
Directs staff in identifying, developing, implementing, and maintaining practices that ensure the highest levels of uptime, performance, reliability, and security across the production environments
Provide strategic direction, set objectives, and structure and resource the organization and the work in a way that improves the impact of the team and provides a paved path to a leadership position among SaaS providers
Balance feature development speed and reliability with well-defined service level objectives and service-level indicators to honor SLAs
Measure and optimize system performance with an eye toward pushing our capabilities forward, getting ahead of customer needs, and innovating to continually improve
Partner with development teams to make sure the applications are production-ready, scalable, reliable, and observable from day zero
Provides thought leadership in issue resolution regarding internal and external technology matters.
Measure application and environment performance, document issues, and work with the development and implementation engineers to identify solutions
Influence new designs, architectures, standards, and methods
Leverage business planning and production performance to influence the creation of stable solutions
Engage in service capacity planning and demand forecasting, software performance analysis as well as system tuning
Demonstrates a wide-ranging knowledge of the businesses across the enterprise and industry expertise
Participation in the research and proposed solutions driving the stability and reliability of our products improving overall company quality and customer satisfaction
Establish and maintain relationships with peers and leaders, act as an internal resource for teams and business units
Drive operational best practice adoption across critical services, continually looking to lower operational barriers to achieving improved reliability
Ensure strong emphasis on SRE as an engineering discipline with a focus on automation

RequirementsQualifications / Experience / Technical SkillsBS or MS from a top-notch CS program (or equivalent experience)
At least 5+ years of multifaceted engineering leadership and operations management experience in a technology-centric company, leading teams of 5+ engineers as part of a globally distributed 24x7 organization
Experience supporting infrastructure and services in *nix and public cloud environments such as AWS
Experience building and supporting teams responsible for Kubernetes-based microservices, ingress controllers, web servers (nginx), and databases (Postgres, MySql, MongoDB, Redis, Clickhouse)
Proficient with various programming languages such as Python/Java/Ruby/Perl/Go for building automation or integration with APIs
You are capable of writing detailed solution specifications, diagrams, best practices/standards documentation, operating procedures, test plans/test reports, etc
You want to implement a world-class continuous improvement process that includes root-cause analysis, solution identification and implementation, and ongoing emphasis on auto-remediation
You want to own end-to-end availability and performance to prevent problem recurrence
Superb interpersonal skills, capable of working with multi-functional technical and business teams and varying levels of management.
You have strong mentoring, recruiting, and leadership ability
