SRE - Technical Specialist

Experience: 10+ years

Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota

Required skills:

SRE Monitor, SRE DevOps, Aveva Diagram

Responsibilities: You will be responsible for overseeing the successful planning execution and delivery of projects related to SRE and Electronic Payments.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams manage project timelines and budgets and ensure that project goals are met.

You will provide leadership and guidance to project teams identify and mitigate risks and communicate project status to stakeholders.

Additional Responsibilities include:

Administer production jobs

Understand debugging info

"Drain" traffic away from a cluster

Roll back a bad software push

Block or rate-limiting unwanted traffic

Bring up additional serving capacity

Use the monitoring systems (for alerting and dashboards)

Automation and CICD pipelines

Coding

Operating systems and networking

Deployment Strategies

Monitoring & Logging

Traceability

APM

Familiar with installing and operating applications and databases

Change and Incident Management

Chaos Testing

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position will depend on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
