SREC Operations Summer Intern

Sol Systems is seeking an Intern for our Solar Renewable Energy Credit “SREC” Operations Team to assist with managing solar production data and implementation of process improvements and efficiencies via automation. This is a multi-faceted role that combines data aggregation, quantitative analysis, and asset management.

In this role the intern will learn the day-to-day processes that are used to manage a growing business of solar assets and the renewable energy credits that they generate. This is a great opportunity for someone with a data management related degree interested in a future role in renewable energy.

The SREC Intern will be responsible for: 

• Leveraging quantitative skills to analyze, understand, and report customers’ monthly solar production data
• Assisting with customer retention initiatives
• Assisting with asset registration across various Renewable Energy Credit Tracking Systems
• Other assigned projects related to process automation

A successful candidate will possess the following skills and attributes:

• College Senior 
• A proactive, self-starter with a can-do attitude and lots of enthusiasm 
• Strong communication skills
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Programming and automation
• Experience with Excel, process automation, and creative problem solving
• Experience with SQL, Python, PowerBI or similar data visualization

Location & Hours: This is a hybrid intern position, based out of our Washington, DC office. This is a part-time role with an estimated 20-40 hours/week.

Commitment & Compensation: This is a paid internship. Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
