SS7 Protocol Solutions Architect

Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled SS7 Protocol Solutions Architect to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with voice networks and a deep understanding of the role and positioning of toll-free services within the network. You will collaborate closely with the Services Architect and Technical Team Lead to design, review, and implement SS7 solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the Services Architect and Technical Team Lead on the overall design of SS7 solutions.
• Conduct design reviews and code reviews to ensure compliance with SS7 standards and best practices.
• Develop and implement strategies for the deployment and management of SS7 components, including Eagle Signal Transfer Point (STP).
• Oversee the deployment of A links, C links, Sigtran, and EAGLE Provisioning Application Processor services.
• Ensure the integration and compatibility of SS7 solutions with existing network infrastructure.
• Apply Bellcore SS7 standards and provide expertise on specific standards such as GR 1149, GR 246, GR 446, GR 533, GR 1275, GR 1502, GR 317, GR 394, and GR 1428.
• Utilize working knowledge of 3GPP standards to align SS7 solutions with current industry standards.
• Implement and manage ATIS IPNNI standards for Stir/Shaken and understand their impact on soft-switches and iSBC interconnection.
• Provide expertise on Nokia iSBC, Nokia MMS, Oracle/Acme Packet SBC, and Meta vSBC, ensuring optimal integration and functionality.

Qualifications:

• Extensive experience working with SS7 protocol solutions and voice networks.
• Strong knowledge of Bellcore SS7 standards and their application in network solutions.
• Proven experience with Eagle Signal Transfer Point (STP) and related services.
• Familiarity with 3GPP standards and ATIS IPNNI standards.
• Experience with Nokia iSBC, Nokia MMS, Oracle/Acme Packet SBC, and Meta vSBC.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex technical challenges.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced certifications or degrees preferred.

• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Experience in designing and implementing scalable and resilient network solutions.
• Understanding of toll-free services and their role within the broader voice network.

• Work hours are Monday - Friday, normal 37.5 hours weeks working onsite up to 5 days a week
