Stack Engineering Intern

We are looking for a Cell Architecture Intern to join our team in one of today's most exciting technologies. This role will report to a Stack Engineer and based in Fremont, CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Role and Responsibilities:

• The Bloom Energy Stack Center of Excellence is seeking a highly motivated Intern to work on the characterization of a new cell technology.
• The Intern will be working with an interdisciplinary team focused on fabrication and performance improvements of our solid oxide fuel cells.
• Perform Critical to Quality (CTQ) measurements of Solid Oxide Fuel Cell (SOFC) components.
• Design and build new architectures of solid oxide fuel and electrolysis cells.
• Perform visual observations of SOFC/SOEC before and after fabrication and testing.
• Collect, organize, analyze and interpret mechanical and visual data on experimental cells.

Skills and Experience:

• Working on a BS or MS in a relevant engineering degree, preferably Materials, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineering
• 2-4 years work experience in a commercial or academic setting
• Exceptional analytical skills, independent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong self-starter and team player with a can-do attitude
• Strong drive for results and continuous improvement
• Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

Salary Ranges:

$20.70 - $31.55
