A little about the role…

As the Staff Accountant, you should be able to accurately maintain a general ledger and be familiar with accounting principles. This person must have the ability to grasp company financial polices and protocols. A successful Staff Accountant combines strong organization skills and attention to detail in order to maintain accurate records. This position supports the Finance Department and must be able to work inter-department.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure AP and AR processes are followed and maintain and collect proper documentation
• Assist with accounts receivable process from invoicing to collection
• Assist with general ledger activities such as: journal entries, review AP and AR balances and reconciliations, account reconciliations, management reporting, etc.
• Perform month-end and year-end close activities
• Assist with Financial Statement preparation and analysis
• Review and troubleshoot billing issues
• Generate and review AR aging reports and help collections
• Update customer accounts and records as needed
• Ensure all posting is complete prior to start of billing process
• Review, save, and send detailed billing reports
• Daily cash reconciliation
• Assist with special projects as needed

Requirements

• Broad accounting experience including AP, AR, GL, Inventory, Financial Statements, Sales Tax
• NetSuite and Salesforce experience a plus
• Able to work in a highly collaborative/team focused environment
• Able to work in a fast paced, open environment; exhibits extremely accountable behavior and remain confidential with information
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
• 2+ years of experience with preferred experience in both public and private industry experience
• Relevant certification preferred

Salary

$40-65k DOE

Location

This position is based in our Denver office. We are currently in a flexible hybrid in-office/remote working model based on local COVID-19 health regulations and business needs. Candidates must be willing and able to work from our Denver office a few days a week.
