We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our finance team. The Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a candidate with a strong foundation in accounting principles and a desire to contribute to the success of our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entry preparation and analysis of financial data.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records by reconciling discrepancies and resolving issues promptly.
• Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for business decision-making.
• Participate in audits, both internal and external and provide necessary documentation and explanations as required.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and standards and recommend improvements to accounting processes and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior experience in [industry/sector] is a plus.
