Staff Accountant

As a member of the finance and accounting team, the Staff Accountant will report to the Manager, Accounting and Reporting and perform general accounting functions. This position is located in our Naperville, IL office, and is a hands-on financial accounting position. Duties include:

• Accurately prepare journal entries, with supporting documentation.
• Perform monthly and annual account reconciliations within strict deadlines.
• Assist in preparation of reports for year-end audit, quarterly SEC reporting and reports requested by management.
• Work independently and with others to complete tasks and maintain accurate financial records.
• Prepare and file state and local taxes, including sales, franchise, and property tax returns.
• Support the accounts payable and billing functions.
• Assist in special projects or other duties as designated by senior management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required, CPA preferred
• 1+ years experience in industry accounting preferred
• Proficiency in Excel required
• NetSuite experience a plus
• Work with minimum supervision
• Solid knowledge of GAAP
• Well organized with the ability to prioritize tasks
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
