Staff Accountant

Job Summary:

We are looking for an ambitious, motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will perform daily accounting operations. We are seeking candidates passionate about making an immediate impact in our organization, hard-working, takes ownership, and wants a platform from which to grow.

What You’ll Do: 

• Reconcile merchant processor activity and related bank accounts.
• Support the finance team with sales reporting and other related reporting projects
• Ensure accuracy and completion of sales by performing reconciliations within NetSuite
• Record manual journal entries as part of the month-end process. 
• Participate in the design & implementation of new accounting procedures 
• Perform accounting research & analysis to support with the financial reporting process 
• Assist team with potential ad-hoc projects and assignments.

What You’ll Need to Have:

Required: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent field.
• Proficient understanding of accounting theory (e.g. GAAP) especially in regards to accrual accounting
• 2+ years of relevant experience – Public accounting and/or CPA candidates a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Strong ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, changing environment
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

Preferred: 

• Experience with Netsuite preferred but not required
• Experience with Shopify is a plus
