Position Overview:
The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager and is a critical member of the accounting operations team. This individual will be heavily involved in the monthly financial statement close, Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes, T&E, annual audit, accounting and other financial systems, and accounting policies, procedures, and controls. There will also be some involvement with the Accounts Receivable team. The role will have significant interaction with the Assistant Controller, Controller, FP&A, and other operational stakeholders. Functional Responsibilities:
- Preparation and posting of monthly journal entries to NetSuite GL and monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with daily cash reporting, monthly journal entries and bank reconciliations
- Prepare and maintain prepaid expenses, fixed assets, intangible assets and depreciation/amortization schedules
- Manage employee expense reimbursement process in Concur, including serving as a resource for employees on company policies
- Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statements
- Assist with monthly close process including financial analysis and financial reporting
- Support annual audits with external auditors
- Assist with design and maintenance of company policies, procedures and controls
- Ad hoc projects as required by the Senior Accounting Manager and/or Assistant Controller
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA track preferred
- Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting and financial reporting
- 1-2 years of relevant corporate accounting experience (Big 4 preferred but not required)
- Demonstrated ability to consistently work within fixed timeframes and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and desire to work cross-functionally to achieve common goals
- Attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, timely work product
- Proficiency in Excel
