Job Summary

ACCO Brands is seeking a Staff Accountant, who will be an instrumental team member of the North American General Accounting team. The individual in this role will primarily be responsible for the tracking and reporting of the fixed assets/CER process and accounts payables/accounts receivable analytics, with month-end close and account analysis responsibilities. This position will report directly to the Accounting Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Tracking and reporting of the Fixed Asset/CER process, includes additions, retirements, transfers and spend communication to project managers.
  • Monitor and Support the GRIR (Goods Receipts/Invoice Receipts) Process.
  • Accounts Payable/ Account Receivable Analytics.
  • Month-end journal entries and account analysis
  • Special projects as needed for the company.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting with 3 years of experience in an accounting role or bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • 2-5 years of experience in accounting.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to speak and present in an effective, clear, and concise manner.
  • Experience with Excel preferred. Prior experience with SAP a plus.
  • Open to Hybrid position in Lake Zurich, IL office 3 days a week, 2 days remote.
