As our Staff Accountant in General Accounting, you’ll work as an integral part of the business. Boingo connects our users to the people and things they love – by building, owning and operating the highest quality wireless networks at a variety of venues around the country and across the globe.  Our accounting team works hand-in-glove with the entire business in a dynamic, evolving industry (did you say 5G? Yep - we do that!). The Boingo accounting team has a strong track record of supporting professional growth and promoting from within. We work collaboratively with all the business units to support the business objectives. Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end close in compliance with the monthly close deadlines.  Ensure all transactions are accounted for in accordance with US GAAP.
• Record monthly cash entries and prepare bank reconciliations.  Prepare weekly cash reporting to the management team.
• Review payment activity and record accrual entries for various operating expense accounts.
• Review prepaid expenses for propriety of capitalization, evaluate amortization periods, and book amortization entries.
• Perform vendor set up and maintenance in the Oracle Fusion supplier module.
• Work closely with multiple departments to ensure all transactions are accounted for timely and accurately.
• Assist with completion of audit requests and inquiries from external auditors and other third parties.
• Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
• Perform and prepare ad hoc analysis and assist with special projects.

Requirements 

• Minimum 1-3 years of general accounting experience required
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required
• Strong work ethic and goal oriented, with a sense of urgency
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem solving, and analytical skills required
• Ability to work independently and demonstrate flexibility
• Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, PivotTable, etc.)
• Oracle Fusion experience a plus
• Experience in a telecommunications industry a plus
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in accounting or relevant accounting experience
