Staff Accountant

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the field of commercial and residential property management. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with a focus on financial reporting. The Staff Accountant will work closely with property managers, owners and tenants. Duties • Prepare and maintain financial statements . • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of accounts payable and accounts receivable. • Perform journal entries, account analysis, and general ledger accounting. • Provide financial report writing and interpretation to support management decisions. • Conduct financial analysis, including cash flow analysis, budgeting, and forecasting. • Utilize accounting software such as Yardi. Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. • 5 years in accounting, preferably in the field of commercial property management. • Strong knowledge of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, accrual accounting, and technical accounting principles. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting. • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail for accurate financial reporting. • Strong communication skills to effectively communicate with investment owners, property managers and tenants. • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
