We are searching for a skilled Staff Accountant to become an integral part of our finance department. In this role, you will be responsible for various financial activities, including managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining the general ledger, conducting reconciliations, and preparing financial reports. The Staff Accountant will contribute to the precision and efficiency of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. Responsibilities:

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment scheduling, and responding to customer/vendor inquiries.
  • Assist in month‐end and year‐end financial closing processes, including the preparation of journal entries and reconciliation of accounts.
  • Conduct bank, inventory, accounts payable & receivable, and other account reconciliations to uphold the accuracy of financial records.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Generate comprehensive financial reports and statements to provide valuable insights into the company's financial performance.
  • Collaborate with other departments to complete assigned tasks.
  • Assist in the preparation of audit documentation to ensure compliance with financial and other audit requirements.
  • Maintain well‐organized financial records and documentation, adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Actively participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and accuracy within financial operations.
  • Stay informed about current accounting standards and regulations to guarantee full compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year accounting experience
  • CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred
  • Understanding of general accounting processes and principles, specifically in Accounts Payable
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics/Business Central highly desired
  • Excellent skills in Microsoft Office Suite, especially MS Excel
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management, critical thinking, problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • High integrity team player with a strong work ethic
  • Initiative-taker that can work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work with and provide discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Proven experience meeting regular deadlines.
