Staff Accountant

Our client located in the heart of downtown Chicago has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has experience within the Professional Services industry and looking to grow with a medium sized firm.

Responsibilities include:

• Participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
• Verify accounting records to validate receipts and expenditures, and assists in month end close
• Prepare and record deposits (check and credit card receipts)
• Perform monthly reconciliations, general ledger, AR, AP, journal entries, and various reporting as needed
• Assist with audit preparation and month end close
• Assist with financial analysis as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Advanced Excel
• SAP, Oracle or Great Plains
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Staff Accountant
