With ID.me, login and identity credentials move with people, which can reduce the time and frustration of having to verify at multiple sites and set up multiple passwords.

Role Overview
ID.me is the most trusted digital identity network, providing mobile and online identity verification SaaS technology in the U.S. Our mission is to make the world a more trusted place by facilitating transparent, efficient, and secure interactions between people and organizations.
We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to work with our Accounting and FP&A teams. The successful candidate will have a natural passion for getting into the details of financial transactions, while also being able to see the big picture of understanding our monthly financial results.
Responsibilities
- Post business transactions, process invoices, and verify financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records within the automated AP platform
- Ensure the accuracy of an organization’s financial documents for payment, auditing, and tax purposes
- Coordinate with the Procurement team to achieve cost savings
- Maintain vendor-related communications and ensure proper control in place of all records
- Prepare bi-weekly vendor payment runs and practice effective monitoring to ensure payments are made to vendors in a timely manner
- Review all submitted T&E expenses and corporate credit card transactions
- Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including assigned journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations, with a focus on prepaid expenses, fixed assets, AP, disbursements, and accrued expenses
- Recommend and implement ideas to improve upon existing systems, work processes, and procedures
- Prepare special financial reports as requested by Management to collect, analyze, and summarize account information and trends

Ideal Qualifications
- 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably with significant experience interacting with the general ledger (i.e.- Netsuite)
- Intermediate-to-advanced Excel skills and, preferably, experience with Google sheets
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and organize efficiently
- Ability and willingness to take ownership of assigned tasks
- Strong written and verbal communications skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA or MBA a plus
- Experience at a fast-paced startup or publicly-traded company a plus
- Experience in SOX, internal controls, and audit environments a plus
