Staff Accountant

About the Role:   

The Staff Accountant is responsible for supporting all corporate finance duties related to invoicing, budgeting/ forecasting, variance analysis of operating companies, corporate consolidations, and cash flow management. The Staff Accountant will be responsible for providing relevant, accurate, and timely information as needed.  

In this role, you will:  

• Support our Consulting Team and others as required: 

• Complete invoicing and assist with making sure we are staying current with issuance and collection. 
• Support with providing all financial reporting, including over/under billed, forecasting revenue and cash flow (including making sure the ERP system is being updated to reflect accurate information that is useful). 

• Support the company-wide month-end closing process, including consolidating DCS results.  
• Provide the first round of detailed variance analysis.  
• Support the Accounting Manager in compiling balance sheet account reconciliations each month for review and approval.  
• Prepare strategic financial analyses as requested. 
• Prepare and/or manage the daily banking activity for all business units, including bank reconciliations for all operating and payroll accounts. 
• Prepare the completion of all DCS financial records (including, but not limited to, balance sheet account reconciliations and review of all income statements accounting for appropriate classifications - in accordance with GAAP).  
• Prepare the completion of any business unit financial records relating to:  

• Prepaid insurance/expenses  
• Payroll/PTO and related liabilities and accruals  
• Fixed assets and related accumulated depreciation/amortization  
• Corporate credit card accruals
