Job Summary & Job Duties

The Staff Accountant position will work directly with the Sr. Accountant and Sr. Cost Accountant with oversight by the Controller to manage daily, weekly, and monthly accounting tasks and activities. The responsibilities will include financial close assistance, account reconciliations, analysis, audit assistance, other duties as needed.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:• Follows established guidelines and ability to identify and resolves problems. • Daily revenue reconciliation and reporting including validation to supporting documents.• Responsible for Accruing, filing, and supporting sales tax audits.• Prepare, and post various journal entries.• Support internal and external audits including providing supporting documentation.• Month account reconciliations and research of discrepancies, financial statement analysis, evaluating operational and accounting processes.• Assist and support with month end, quarter end, and year end closing and reporting tasks.• A/P and A/R reconciliation including net credit / net debit entry as well as bad debt reserve calculation. • Monthly intercompany entries and reconciliations.• Complying with all company, local, state, and federal accounting, and financial regulations.• Work collaboratively with colleagues and others to identity and achieve best practices.• Assist with special projects and backup other accounting team members when scheduling issues arise.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Years of Experience• 1-3 years experience • Superior knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint • Strong attention to detail with consistent accuracy.• Must be analytical and problem-solving• Ability to efficiently manage multiple projects / priorities and meet deadlines• Solid technical accounting knowledge.• Experience with ERP systems
