Position: Staff Accountant

Location: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (off 376 near airport)

Travel: None. This position is onsite, in-office.

Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities: Will be responsible for day-to-day accounting functions and assisting with the month end close.

• Assist with month end close by preparing journal entries (Sage Intacct) and maintaining accurate account reconciliations
• Prepare billing invoices for services rendered on a timely basis
• Ensure sales and use tax compliance by filing state sales tax returns and managing database of tax codes for all products sold / services provided
• Process and post cash receipts to customer accounts
• Facilitate payment of Accounts Receivable by sending bill reminders and contacting clients
• Process Accounts Payable invoices and coordinate the check run
• Assist Senior Accountant with payroll related items
• Manage corporate credit cards, including month-end reconciliations and entries into expense management system
• Other special projects as requested

Qualifications:

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
• At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
• Knowledge of GAAP and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups etc.)
• Experience with sales and use tax filings is highly desirable
• Strong communication skills and able to work independently

Compensation is targeted at $28 per hour based on experience and certifications.
