Staff Accountant

Phlow Corp. is looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with an entrepreneurial spirit to fill the Staff Accountant position, working closely with the Controller and Senior Accountant. The ideal candidate is interested in working in a startup environment, capable of managing uncertainty, and taking ownership of what is needed to achieve the mission.

NOTE: This position offers a hybrid work schedule of office and remote work, with 2-3 days a week in the office.

Responsibilities:

• Asist with the month-end closing of the books including recurring JEs and accruals
• Asist in the preparation of period end financial statements
• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of accounting system data
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies
• Design and implement new processes and improvements to existing processes
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Assist A/P as needed, manage A/R including creating SOPs
• Perform accounting tasks for a range of on-going initiatives
• Assist Senior Accountant as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required
• Hands-on experience related to the above responsibilities
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Working knowledge of GAAP
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• SAP experience required / SAP S4 Hana a plus
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to pivot quickly to new tasks
