Staff Accountant

At POLARIS Laboratories we work together to provide our customers insight into the stories told by their equipment's fluids before it becomes a costly issue.

We're looking for a Staff Accountant who:

• Can offer common sense solutions to hard problems
• Has a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field
• Is proficient in accounting software such as NetSuite
• Brings strong problem-solving and analytical skills, attention to detail, and time management and organizational skills
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills
• Brings 2 or more years' experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or financial modeling
• Is a champion for accuracy

What you will do:

• Assist in all phases of corporate accounting including, but not limited to, accruals, fixed assets, AP, AR, prepaids, cash and month closing processes
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations and financial analysis
• Maintain financial reports, records and general ledger accounts
• Respond to information requests, review financial statements, and assist with audits
• Prepare and file state sales & use tax returns
• Assist other departments with costs and budgets, support and drive initiatives that shorten the close time
• And assist with external audit/review and financial reporting
