About You:
NinjaTrader is currently seeking a Staff Accountant located at our downtown Chicago office. The Staff Accountant will report directly to the Accounting Manager to provide accounting and administrative support for the Finance and Business Analysis Team.
Responsibilities:

• Accounts Payable management including vendor setups, invoice entries, and preparation of the weekly check run for multiple entities
• Credit card and banking entries in the GL
• Apply the financial policies and procedures of the company; escalate inconsistencies, problems, and recommendations to the attention of management along with proposed solutions
• Analyze results and trends, and reconcile balance sheet accounts, to ensure our records are complete and accurate
• Prepare and assist with month-end close, including leading the generation and/or review of accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and other activity
• Purchasing administration
• Assist finance staff as requested in the preparation of audit work papers, budget, and other projects and analysis as assigned.
• Identify and assist with the preparation of SOPs for internal controls
• Other financial reporting and analysis as requested

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or Business with relevant coursework or experience)
• 1 - 4 years related experience in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with day-to-day accounting and month end close processes
• Organized, detail oriented and self-motivated individual with strong analytical skills
• Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work within deadlines while still providing a high-quality work product
• High moral and ethical standards. Ability to be trusted with confidential information.
• Extremely dependable - 'can do' attitude - problem solver
• Very good understanding of accounting principles and GAAP
• Strong desire to grow and learn more about technology and brokerage industries
• Expert communication skills
• Experience with QuickBooks and/or MS Dynamics plus
