Travel + Leisure Co. is seeking an Accountant II on the Owner Services Accounting team. The Accountant II prepares, maintains and analyzes budgetary and performance reports for the assigned business unit. Submits key information/results to management in a timely manner and recommends actions to be taken that will result in adherence to budget. Makes recommendations and implements changes to streamline processes within the Owner Services Accounting group. Ensures the Company's financial statements are reported in conformity with GAAP while coordinating the forecasting and reporting and providing useful information to the Company's decision makers.

Job responsibilities include by are not limited to:

• Perform the monthly general ledger close process to stay within the timelines of the Corporate close schedule. Ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP and appropriate financial variance analyses is provided timely to management and assigned business units. Participate in financial review meetings.
• Provide process enhancement support for Manager of Accounting. Assist with analysis of key balance sheet accounts, P&L Forecasts and Budgets. Assist Manager of Accounting in evidencing key controls and provide audit support as needed.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure they are reconciled timely. In addition, provide reporting and analysis which outlines key business activities which drive changes within each balance and material impacts to the P&L.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting Degree
• Hold or earning CPA, a plus

Knowledge and Skills:

• Excellent communication skills with all levels of personnel
• Self-motivated and well organized

Technical Skills:

• Intermediate Excel skills (i.e., pivot tables, vlookup, basic formulas, etc.)
• PeopleSoft or major ERP experience, preferred

Job Experience:

• 1+ years' experience in Accounting, General Ledger environment with ability to perform the following tasks:
  
  • Reconciliation of key balance sheet accounts (such as Cash, AR, AP, Prepaid Expenses, Deferred Revenues and Costs)
  • Journal Entry Preparation
  • P&L variance analysis
  • Balance change analysis for key balance sheet accounts
