Staff Accountant

We are excited to add a Staff Accountant to our growing team. This individual will be responsible for recording, balancing, and reconciling daily and monthly accounting activities and accounts. You will report to our Accounting Team Lead and our Accounting Manager. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply!

This position is based in Waltham, MA with a flexible work schedule.

Responsibilities:

• Play an integral part in the daily and month end close by evaluating and preparing required journal entries
• Perform monthly reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Assist in preparation of schedules for year-end audit
• Assist in Intercompany Reconciliations of Blue Snap’s International subsidiaries
• Ad Hoc Projects as needed
• Assist in ensuring merchants are funded accurately and timely
• Perform various treasury duties including ensuring sufficient cash in correct bank accounts and making bank funding decisions accordingly
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as required from time to time by the Accounting Team Lead and Accounting Manager

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Ability to handle high volume financial data sets
• Experience with complex Excel spreadsheets, MS Word and Office
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to clearly and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously
• Familiarity with NetSuite Accounting software, a plus!
