Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our Finance team! This role will report to our Accounting Manager, Sedona Stewart, and will be a vital part of the finance function at Ethena.

Our workforce is fully remote and your personal working hours can be based on your own timezone. All team-wide meetings are scheduled to be inclusive of all U.S. time zones.

What you'll do

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, and Accounts Receivable
• Manage/Assist with end-to-end Accounts receivable process including, but not limited to invoicing customers, processing deposits received, and collections follow-up 
• Manage end-to-end Accounts payable process including, but not limited to processing vendor bills, compliance with policies & responding to vendor inquiries
• Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations ensuring the accuracy of cash reporting & coding of transactions
• Assist with Month-End close preparation 
• Assist with payroll processing
• Assist with tax fillings and notices
• Identify opportunities for process improvements in accounting operations
• Support with ad-hoc finance requests as needed

What makes a great candidate

• At least 2+ years’ experience in accounting or related role, preferably at a SaaS or Tech company
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Experience with QuickBooks or other accounting software
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks, Maxio, Stripe, Navan, Brex, Bill.com
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Attention to detail
• An entrepreneurial mindset - we’re an early-stage startup so we’re not just looking for someone to run a playbook. We want you to help build it.
• A “roll up your sleeves” mentality and comfort with ambiguity

Physical Demands

• This is sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing in a home office environment.

Compensation

• The annual starting base salary for this position is between $70,000 - $90,000, depending on experience.
